A whole host of teams across the globe have been linked with signing old Goldenballs, but none would suit him better than West Ham.
Born on the edges of East London, a move to Upton Park would have a “prodigal son” vibe, although the Beckhams have always been Manchester United fans. Teaming up with Big Sam Allardyce would also work in the former England captain’s favour, considering the former Bolton manager’s history of bringing out the best in his ageing players, often leading to a late revival in their twilight years.
Furthermore, Beckham’s set piece delivery from corners and free-kicks would be perfect for West Ham, with the likes of Andy Carroll, Carlton Cole, James Collins and James Tompkins being strong ariel threats, not to mention Kevin Nolan to get onto the end of any knock-downs.
