Right Back – One would assume Everton Captain Phil Neville is of reasonable intelligence considering his brother Gary is an articulate Sky Sports pundit. But then again, their dad is named Neville Neville.
As if his appallingly poorly orchestrated dive during this year’s Merseyside Derby wasn’t enough evidence, especially after a week of David Moyes ranting about the theatrics of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, this quote from Neville during his England days might prove he is the dumber brother:
“The Brazilians were South American, while the Ukrainians will be more European”. How surprising Phil.
If anyone needs further proof, search for Phil Neville playing the Yes/No game on Youtube. Considering it’s somewhat a child’s game to play on long car journeys and rainy days, the fact the Everton midfielder answers “Is your name Phil Neville” with an immediate “Yeah” shows hes probably not the sharpest knife in the cabinet.
He spends the whole 1:46 minutes of the video under constant pressure and stalls upon answering questions about where he lives, who he plays for, and where Everton is.
