Carlos Tevez sparked the resurgence of Manchester City when he turned his back on a permanent move to Old Trafford in the wake of a cataclysmic fallout with Sir Alex Ferguson.
The controversial, yet utterly brilliant ‘Welcome to Manchester’ poster featuring the Argentine decked out in blue, fuelled the flames under an already intense rivalry. However, it looked like United would have the last laugh after Tevez’s extended golf holiday last season but the tenacious striker returned and helped fire City to their first title in 44 years.
