As things stand, we are experiencing one of the closest ever Premier League seasons at both ends of the table.

There are eleven teams battling for top-flight survival, which should make for a pretty epic end to the season down there, but it’s at the top where all the interest lies.

And a look at the Cann table comparison, provided by 101 Great Goals, shows us that at the 24 game stage last season, Liverpool and Arsenal were a lot worse off that where they are this season, while Tottenham Hotspur have actually seen an improvement on their points tally than last season.

The improvement of so many teams, combined with the fall of the likes of Manchester United, means we’re all lined up for the one of the closest and most exciting Premier League climax’s of all time.
