I did enjoy reading your analysis...and actually do agree in large parts to the effectiveness of this creative and defensive coupling, it's also prudent to observe that it's a very disciplined partnership and adopts within the least of tactical change or support, with very minimal depreciation in quality of output...But this partnership does need on occasion to be varied up a bit every often, otherwise it will get predictable, just like all other well-known advantages...COYS!!!

I will be honest I am a Spurs fan and obviously watch Spurs more than any other team but personally I dont think many people can argue against these being the best midfield 2 in the league...

I think we have won every game in which these 2 have started, except Everton but then Dembele went off after 85mins and at that point we were winning 1-0

There mix of power and speed is too much for most teams, there is great midfielders in the league but they are let down by there team mates.

Toure and Barry- Barry is poor
Wilshere and Arteta- not enough physicality
Carrick and Cleverley- not as good no way
Obi and Lampard- too slow

I would honestly say the closest pairing to rival them is Cabaye and Tiote at Newcastle, and the fact they have very rarely played together this year is probably why Newcastle are doing soo poor
