Tottenham Winger Gareth BaleReal Madrid have urged Gareth Bale to push for a move if he is serious about swapping White Hart Lane for the Bernabeu, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Spanish giants have made little secret of their desire to snap up the Tottenham ace, who was named at the Premier League’s Player of the Year last term.

Spurs are keen to tie the Welshman down with a bumper £150,000-per-week contract, but he is said to be stalling as he considers his options.

Real are ready to pay in the region of £80m, but even that figure may not be enough if Tottenham chief Daniel Levy deems there to be no need to sell the club’s star asset.

As a result, the La Liga side have told Bale that he must agitate for a move, or risk losing the chance to play for one of the biggest clubs on the planet.

The 24-year-old is thought to be keen to spend one more season in England before testing himself on the very biggest stage.

However, Real want the deal now, and have warned Bale that if he does not force the issue now he may never get the opportunity again.

In a bid to accommodate him, Cristiano Ronaldo could be set to play a central striking role, allowing the ex-Southampton star to play on the left flank, or behind the Portuguese superstar.

They seem to be blatant about tapping up our players. If they really want him, they should stump up the 100 million pounds required to buy him.Of course now that they feel they have unsettled the player, and he has possibly asked to leave, they should get him for far less than what Spurs want for him, much like the Modric saga, lat year.

Madrid are a disgrace to football. I hope Levy stands his ground and tells them where to go. Horrible football club everything about them is classless yet they would have the world believe they are some special club. They are a disgrace.

FIFA Pull your finger out. Could Spurs not sue over this and use other deals as back up?? Zidane, marca, Perez. All guilty of putting pressure on the player and our club into dealing into something we are not interested at. Bale signing a new contract last year means nothing but his words about AVB and HIS role in this coming season mean alot. Football fancast, thanks for the quality output

Spurs need to sell him and buy 3 or four quality players. With Arsenal’s new found spending power, the Gap is widening. The money to re-invest in the side from the “Sale of Bale” will lessen the Gulf that is being created keep them in contention for the “Wenger Trophy”(4th Place). He is a fantastic talent, and deserves to be playing Champions League Football for Football Royalty(Real Madrid). Hoping it happens, as I can legitimately root for him when he leaves the Spurs!

Cmon guys dont b so selfish.. Its the boys career. He is young n fast let him follow his dreams. We should just wish him al d luck if he goes to real. The spurs is a big club n no player is bigger then the club. Best thing levy should do is to sell bale n send a messge that spurs can stil retail its place in premiere league.. He he forgot to add that im a gooner
