Celtic ace keen on summer Tottenham switch
The 25-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Spurs, as well as Norwich, last month, but the Bhoys’ desire to hold on to their star man scuppered a potential deal.
With his current contract set to expire at the end of next season, Hooper is widely expected to leave sooner rather than later, and has told Celtic that he does not intent to extend his time in Scotland.
He was also reportedly promised a summer move after being forced to stay in the SPL, which has further promoted talk that Norwich and Liverpool may make moves at the end of the current campaign.
But, Hooper has asked his employers to attempt to strike a deal with Tottenham, as North London is his preferred destination.
The front-man has been in fine form this season, netting 23 goals in 35 matches, some of which helped the Scots advance from their Champions League group.
Having rejected a number of bids from the Canaries in January, Celtic are believed to be holding out for around £10m for Hooper, a figure which may be met by clubs during the off-season.
His former club Scunthorpe will pocket a percentage of any transfer fee, due to a clause in the deal that took him north of the border in 2010.
