Contract discussions to dictate Gareth Bale transfer bid
Real Madrid are waiting on star man Cristiano Ronaldo to make a decision on his contract extension before pursuing on form Tottenham midfielder Gareth Bale, according to the Daily Mail.
Ronaldo is considering his future in the Spanish capital after a disappointing season in La Liga and with his contract expiring in 2015, Madrid may look to cash in on him in the summer.
Manchester United are reportedly keen on bringing the Portuguese goalscoring machine back to Old Trafford and that would pave the way for Bale to join Real.
Bale has been on scintillating form after scoring 23 goals in competitions this season from midfield including the last gasp stunning winner over London rivals West Ham on Monday.
It is thought that Spurs would want around £50million for their main man in the summer but the North London club are hopeful of once again offering the Welsh winger an improved deal in the hope that he will stay.
