Honestly if Villa go down then they’ll struggle to keep him on because of his salary. Realistically the price would be over the £10million mark. No one will pay silly money and help out a club on there way down.

Villa fan. I can see Benteke leaving in the summer. I hope he doesn’t of course, especially if we did manage to stay up.

I would have thought we would be looking for circa £20m and I would have thought he would have his pick of top sides. I can’t see him going to Spurs – although I do think he would be good for you and would fit in to your side very well – because of your wage cap. I think he would earn more elsewhere.

You’re dealing with Randy Lerner the man who wouldn’t fund the transfer of a new defender when his team are facing relegation, you’ve got more chance of signing Michael Owen for £10m. Benteke will want to go to a club that actually wins things.

Benteke won’t leave for anything less of £25m if we go down- there is more chance of Bent going back to spurs

Likely prices for Benteke this summer. If Villa stay up: not for sale bar an outrageous offer (25 million or more). If Villa go down: 15-20 million.

Though it would break my heart to see it happen, he would do well at Spurs given a couple of years to settle in. He will be one of the top strikers in the world.

Villa fan here. Benteke will leave us in the summer but can’t see him coming to spurs when arsenal and utd have been watching him. He is also a self confessed arsenal fan and has been quoted as wanting to play for them. I think it’s a dead cert we will go down now but if we stayed up Benteke will still be if in the summer as we are now a selling club.
