Tottenham were lucky with the sending off yesterday. It was enough to swing things our way. Having said that, we deserve a bit of luck. In the past if we didn’t have bad luck we wouldn’t have had any.

I think yesterdays events suggest that the footballing gods have intervened to make life easier for AVB. He had a lot of bad luck, early in the season, ironically beginning with Saturdays visitors, Noocarsul. We deserved at least a point at St James but got nothing.

They look a different proposition with the new French Connection but, hopefully we can start the game with Adebayor up top with Dempsey, Dembelend and Charles Charlie Charles in the middle of midfield.

If Charlie kicks Sissoko, early doors, we might be alright.
