Must admit that I am continually besemud how Mikel gets picked and how AVB decides to take off Ramires and still leave Mikel on the pitch. He offers little or no protection to the back 4 and is not capable of turning defence into attack in any form or fashion except at a snails pace. Sturridge was woeful and missed a hatful of chances to socre or get the ball into the box. It is clear that to continue to play attacking football we will have to accept a certain weakness in the defence, however, this was unacceptable and AVB has to address this issue and soon. Much as he is a liability I feel that AVB has to find a place for Luiz and RB is as good a place tro start as at least 2 goals came from the Arsenal left side as Bos was continually exposed (to be fair Sturridge hardly tracked back so provided little support). Overall a bad day at the office but no need for panic yet, however, we cannot afford to lose many more games or conced as consistently as we did on Saturday. KTBFFH

Well, said. AVB wasn't my first, second or third choice for Spurs manager. But hs is the manager and needs to be given time. Redknapp's last 10 matches as Spurs manager produced 5-5-5 results and included must win losses to Norwich at home and getting clean sheeted at QPR. AVB's first 12 matches see Spurs at 5-2-5 without Modric and Van der Vaart. So how much difference is the between Redknapp and AVB. At this point here's the problem. Imagine a conversation between AVB and the Media and Disgruntled Spurs fans over what to do:
AVB: Blue
Fans: Red

AVB: Red
Fans: Blue.

Their problem is a sily love affair with a now gone manager who choked at the end of 2 seasons in a row and they are too lagered up to admit it.

Damned if he does and damned if he doesn't Plus no mention of the injuries the guy has had to cope with. Maybe you are a closet HR man, eh? Well at least QPR can throw money at him too.

Only he hasn't 'tried to doit his way' - he specifically 'didn't' play a 4-3-3 because he didn't have the players for it. He specifically including older players even though everyone knows they won't be here for the long term. The griping about the way he handled the Friedel/Lloris situation started BEFORE Lloris had even been able to play for Spurs (if anyone had actually bothered to check).

Spurs lost three of their best and most influential players in the Summer, adn, on top of that have been without between 4 and 7 1st team players, for one reason and another, for most of the season, and are only two points behind Arsen*l and well within touching distance of 4th place, having played all 4 of the top teams in less than a third of the season - including 3 away (technically 3 of the 4 hardest games of the season in less than the first third of it).

The main reason articles like this are being produced is becausse articles like this have been being produced since the first game of the season declaring that there 'was' some kind of 'crisis' - presumably because the media 'wanted' there to be a crisis.
