Tottenham midfielder Gareth Bale

Real Madrid are confident they can beat rivals Barcelona to the signing of Tottenham midfielder Gareth Bale with a bid of €50 million.

The Welsh international has constantly been a target for the Spanish giants since excelling in the Champions League two seasons ago.

Bale has continued to impress with his performances for both club and country and Real Madrid are now confident they can persuade Bale to join former team mate Luka Modric at the Bernabeu.

Spanish publication AS have reported that Madrid are confident they can out-muscle Barcelona with a bid of €50 million which will also see the 23-year-old earn €2.2million a year.

Spurs are in a strong position to bring in large amounts of money for the midfielder who has recently signed a four year extension to his contract, but the midfielder has admitted that he would be open to a move.

“If you are talking about Barcelona or Real Madrid, two of the biggest clubs in the world, then it’s a once-in-a-lifetime dream,” Bale told The Sun last year.

“If you said to any young player that you could play for Barcelona or Real would they turn it down? Probably not.

“If a bid was accepted you would obviously have to seriously consider it.”

absolutely, real Madrid is the worst place for him, a team with a lot of changes every year and a few titles in coming years! bale must go to barca as a right winger and make a powerful attack line with messi and neymar! i hope barca sell alexis to make cash for bale!

dear farzin, why real madrid fans always talk about the past! lizard says my grandfather is dinosaur! with your idea, liverpool must be the greatest and best destination for any player in the premier league! and don’t forget 5 of your 9 championship in Europe was in a cup with only five teams!!!!
with this barca squad and la masia system and the players that barca wants to buy, barca will continue his domination in la liga for many years! even ronaldo and mou know this and want to change their league!
also, real madrid is a team that have a lot of transfers avery year and there’s no reason that bale’s future be something different from kaka and coentrao!( and don’t mention to zlatan and ronaldinho and … in barca, they went because of their manners and bale is a very good person!)
