The Sun.

The Spanish giants have been openly courting the Spurs star all summer, and are ready to submit a £51m cash plus Angel Di Maria and Fabio Coentrao in a move that would be worth just below £100m.

Tottenham chief Daniel Levy has already knocked back an £81m offer from Los Blancos, but this has only served to increase their determination to secure their main target.

According to some reports, Bale is keen to swap London for Madrid, which may force Spurs to sell.

The Bernabeu side are convinced that if suitable replacement players are offered, Levy would consider, what would surely be, the biggest transfer of the summer.

Di Maria is seen as a like-for-like alternative by Real, due to his ability to operate from out wide or just behind the main striker.

But, they are willing to supplement the £51m cash offer further by offering Coentrao, who is comfortable at either left-back or further up the field on the same wing.

It’s unclear as to whether Tottenham will consider the bid, but if Bale openly pursues a move it may force their hand.

Tottenham fans, can you really turn down this offer for Gareth Bale?

The article is secondhand based on unattributable and unsubstantiated regurgiattions. It borders on the dishonest to use the phrase “According to some reports” as if it were fact. No thought,no research and certainly no analysis. Banrett, Bales agent has made no public confirmation of bale’s wishhes and this must be the first instance of an agent rendered speechless. Bale has new contracts in respect of the Premier League with BT and NBC. You’d have thought that they might have slipped just a tiny request that Bale stays in the Premier League this season. How about a tiny bit of thought?

If that’s what they are going to offer, accept it. They are two quality players who will improve the squad, and with Paulinho,Chadli and Soldado(maybe)plus possibly another striker I honestly think we wont just finish fourth but higher. COYS

Read what ‘sanity’ has written. The only sense I’ve read regarding this story all day. Well written ‘sanity’, fancy a job writing on here? You’re far better than most of the hacks!

Look, Bale is ONE Player and no one player is bigger than the club. If we sell Bale then we need to do it in time so that we can get replacements – losing one player and being able to buy three or four players makes sense. Levy has a habit of messing things up though and I am sure he will do it again because he is a dimwit.
It happens most years at Spurs but we get used to it. Levy does not even have the funds to build the new stadium – whatever happens with Bale, LEVY NEEDS TO GO- we need better investment and start to show ambition.
