5 assists 2 goals from 21 games and 9 starts. If he is indeed having a bad season I’d like to see the stats when he isn’t. He’s far too good for Reading and in the future a team like Reading wouldn’t even become an option. Does anyone else remember when Gareth Bale was almost flogged of to Forest for £5million by Harry Redknapp? Same difference ~ he hasn’t had enough time to make his mark in a spurs shirt. But he will in the future.

Feel sorry for Siggy, don’t understand the decision at all. As a Reading fan I’m also disappointed we weren’t able to get him back, he could have been the difference between relegation and survival. If we stay up I reckon we’ll be back for him in the Summer, and this time Spurs will sell.

Don’t think Bale will be sold this year. They aren’t going to let him go cheap and they have him signed for 4 years. They will have another go with Bale I believe and if they don’t progress then he will probably leave in Summer 2014. I fully expect Siggy to take on a more valuable role next season, especially if Parker is not a member of the club. Siggy would probably be one of the first subs in for Dembele or Holtby or even one of the wings.

What and paid £10 million for a replacement? We would have been short in midfield cover. Sigurdsson ha shown flashes in games that he can adapt so we were right to keep him.

Spurs maintained they wanted to buy a striker in the summer (when they are cheaper) unless they could get someone better than they had, the right approach. You don’t buy just for the sake of it. Ade was missing for much of the first part of the season injured so our situation is no different than it was then and we sit 1 point off third. Our rivals Arsenal and Everton didn’t strengthen so there is no need to panic.

A classic no-brainer – should’ve without a doubt, we’d even have made a profit and I’m sure Siggy would relish helping Reading stay up.
What really annoys me about this is we could have then got a decent striker without levy wetting himself about the cost. Bizarre.

Sigurdsen will play a lot next season. I expect Bale to be sold and the width to come from the full backs, probably Kyle walker and Danny Rose. Have a feeling Lennon and Parker may be gone by January 2014 too.

You guys are very wrong. Sigurdsson will become an invaluable player in the first team. I don’t think Villas Boas knows where to play him. The trouble is when ever he plays he’s been up front with Dempsey, who is awful at linking up play. When Sigurdsson gets a run in the team with the first team players around him, I think you’ll see a decent player.

This was a half decent article until I read that Boas might go back in for Joao Moutinho.What world you living in.Wise up to the fact nobody is coming in.Reason being there are piles of earth across the road and until that is converted in to a new stadium the very best you will see is loans and rejects, such as Saha/Nelsen even Boas was free.
