Gylfi Sigurdsson (Tottenham)Tottenham midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson has urged his team-mates to bounce back from defeat to Liverpool with a good performance Thursday’s Europa League clash with Inter Milan.

Spurs slipped to a 3-2 loss at Anfield over the weekend, a result which was only their second negative score line in their last 13 games.

They lead Inter 3-0 heading into this week’s second-leg clash at the San Siro, after a convincing display last Thursday in North London.

However, Sigurdsson does not want the weekend’s disappointment to jeopardise their Europa League campaign, and has urged Tottenham to return to form as quickly as possible:

“It was disappointing but all we can do now is focus on the next game at Inter and make sure we go through,’ said the Icelandic international.” He is quoted by The Metro.

“We’ve been on an unbelievable run and sometimes things like this happen. We have to make sure we stay together, regroup and get ready for the next game.”

Sigurdsson was on the score sheet in the first-leg against Inter, netting in between goals from Gareth Bale and Jan Vertonghen.

The Icelandic international believes that a good result in Italy could set Tottenham up for a positive end to the campaign:

“Hopefully we can go on another run between now and the end of the season.”

Gylfi I like what u saying, but then u must also come to the party. Its no use u urging the players on and u fall by the wayside before 90 min.Watching the game I became very frustrated with u,because u should have scored 2 goals but fluffed it completely. So I hope that when u play again you’ll be fit for 95 min.
