When it comes to the Premier League transfer market, buying English hasn’t really been the vogue thing of late.

Less than a third of the top flight players now don home-grown status, and a very small portion of the £560million spent on transfers in the summer was dedicated to English talents.

But with every trend soon comes a backlash, which could be eventually triggered by the findings of Greg Dyke’s FA Commisson, set to be announced in March.
