It will be five years this summer since John Bostock made his controversial move from Crystal Palace to Spurs in 2008. And in that time, the now 21-year-old has made precisely zero appearances for the Lilywhites in the Premier League.
Yes, there’s been injuries along the way and yes, often he found his route to the first team blocked off by a raft of immovable first team players, but at only 16-years-old and having played a mere four times for Palace, the move to Spurs came far, far too early in his career.
There’s still time for him to turn things around but the fledgling years of his career have been wasted at White Hart Lane.
