Rubbish article. He was caught by a knee which caused him to go down. As someone who plays a bit of football, I can tell you that when I am running at full speed it doesn’t take much of a touch to knock you off balance and a knee in the side of your own knee will knock you over.

Bale does dive and the Stoke one that people are talking about was very soft, 40years ago the player wouldn’t have gone down but now he does, they all do it but does that make it any better? No and the fact that we’ve come to expect less and less from one another and even go as far as to defend it is truly odd. Brilliant, brilliant winger but has a dark side to him it seems.

Yeah that’s pretty ‘out there’ especially as there are always loads of different viewpoints but the point stands that Bale if you had to pick, is probably a diver more than anything else.

Personally think the Stoke foul was a dive myself but Craig Gardner is quickly developing a reputation of his own as a bit of a nasty player so can be seen either way I guess.

Not that Bale is alone in being a diver there’s plenty around but if you’re going to defend someone just seems odd to take a stand in defence of him above every other player accused of it.

The mental Spuds fans are out in force here then, literally have no idea what they’re on about.

Bale is a diver. He has been caught doing this more often than most. Plenty of attention is focused on him, yet he still does it.

Refreshing take on the issue, someone finally calling out the likes of Gerrard and Rooney for years who have been doing it, that Rooney one against Arsenal during their 49 game unbeaten streak was so so awful and so so obvious.
