Top 10 transfer deals that ‘continue to confuse’ Tottenham fans

Every transfer has an element of risk involved. Just as a £10million investment in a player could see them score in their first game, and become a new star, they could easily break their leg in the first minute of their first ever training session and never manage to make a first team appearance.

Perhaps that’s a worst case scenario, but there is still no way of telling how good a new signing will be until he’s actually at the training ground. That may well be why Tottenham Hotspur have managed to make a such long list of complete transfer flops, which have left Spurs supporters baffled, confused and sometimes furious about how their money is being spent.

Just like when your mother gets out the baby books whenever your girlfriend comes over, now that Tottenham have matured into a top four Premier League club, it’s time to make them blush by bringing to the world wide web’s attention some rather cringe-worthy signings from less glorious times.
