Tottenham’s hopes of snapping up Dutch starlet Memphis Depay have been dealt a major setback, with PSV Eindhoven confirming that he’s not for sale and that Nacer Chadli is not of interest to them.

Spurs have reportedly lodged a £10m offer with the Belgian winger included for the 20-year-old, with Mauricio Pochettino desperate to add the youngster to his ranks.

Chadli himself was on signed last year, but his below par displays have already rendered him a player that the club are willing to offload.

But despite talk of a bid and serious interest from Tottenham, a spokesperson for PSV told Sky Sports that there have been no offers and that they would not be open to taking Chadli anyway:

“There has been no contact from Spurs whatsoever.

“Our sporting director Marcel Brands stated to Dutch media yesterday that he expects Memphis to stay at the club and Nacer Chadli is not of interest to us.

“We are in Austria at the moment for our Europa League game against SKN St Polten and Memphis is in the squad. He is fully focused on the game.”

Manchester United are also keen on Depay, who rose to prominence with two goals at the World Cup for Holland earlier this summer.
