Tottenham are weighing up a January loan move for Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic, according to reports from the Daily Star.

Despite currently being without a manager at the helm, Spurs are believed to be ready to dip into the transfer market next month in a bid to get their stuttering campaign back on track.

Securing a new striker is said to be a priority for director of football Franco Baldini, with the club’s hierarchy concerned by their side’s lack of a cutting edge in front of goal.

The Londoners currently have a tally more akin to a side battling against relegation than one competing for Champions League qualification, which is a particular worry given their £110m spend over the summer.

Tottenham are ready to stick with Roberto Soldado, but are keen to supply their misfiring Spaniard with some support for the remainder of the campaign.

Vucinic has emerged as a target, with the Montenegrin out of favour at Juve.

The Old Lady are said to be willing to let their forward leave on loan, which has sparked interest from the White Hart Lane club.

The 30-year-old has long been hailed as one of Serie A’s top front-men, but has seen his forest-team role in Turin diluted following the summer arrivals of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente.
