Tottenham hope to secure an early deal
Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas is set to bring summer acquisition Lewis Holtby to White Hart Lane five months sooner than expected according to the Daily Mirror.
Holtby could arrive in North London this month as a replacement for Spurs midfielder Sandro who has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Sandro has been a crucial member of Villas-Boas’ side so far this season and his presence will be sorely missed after dominating the midfield game after game.
Scott Parker is set to fill in initially for the Brazilian but Holtby would be the ideal replacement this month.
The German international was set to stay with Schalke until his contract expired this summer when he will join Spurs for free, but Tottenham may now interact with Schalke to come to an earlier agreement.
It was thought that Spurs could bid around £2million to secure the signing this month but initially opted to wait until the summer.

This seems like media bs to me. We have plenty of players able to take sandros place in the team (they may not be as good but it’s not important, it’s not like we are challenging for anything important) and Daniel Levy isn’t exactly renowned for wasting money when he can wait a fe months and get something for nothing is he?
