Tottenham’s hopes of landing Belgian World Cup sensation Divock Origi have received a boost, with the youngster having revealed that he has always dreamt of playing in the Premier League.

The 19-year-old fired the goal to guarantee his side knockout football against Russia over the weekend after coming off of the bench to replace Romelu Lukaku.

It has since emerged that Spurs are tracking the teenager, who has carved out a burgeoning reputation with Lille in the French top tier.

Arsenal have also been linked with the starlet, who has seen comparisons drawn between himself and Lukaku in recent times thanks to his physical stature and potential.

Although Origi insists that he is fully focused on his country’s exploits in Brazil, he has hinted that a move to England would be difficult to pass on:

“As a little boy I always dreamed of playing in the Premier League but I’m still young and now I’m in an important tournament so I’m try to focus on the team,” he is quoted by Goal.

“Then my entourage will see with [Lille] what I’ll do.”
