Tottenham are set to reignite their interest in Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk winger Yevhen Konoplyanka at the end of the season, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

The Ukrainian ace came within a whisker of completing a deadline day switch to Liverpool, but despite rumours of his release clause having been activated by the Reds, a deal was not processed in time.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are set to make a fresh move for the 24-year-old once the transfer window re-opens, but Spurs may also weigh in.

Reports indicated that the Lilywhites made a late offer for Konoplyanka in the build-up to the last day of transfer activity, but failed to match their top four rivals.

However, the North Londoners are already plotting a £15m summer raid, and are willing to offer the Eastern European ace wages in the region of £100,000-per-week.

‘Kono’ is widely hailed as one of his nation’s finest talents, and starred in their World Cup qualification campaign.

But, a goal against England and a fine performance in their play-off with France were not enough to help his country book a spot in Brazil,

Although the wide-man is desperate to join a top European side, Dnipro owner Ihor Kolomoyskyi may prove difficult to negotiate with.
