Modric to Man united? dont you think that Daniel Levy (a very smooth operator) would have susssed that one out? of course he would have either there will be a very nice sell on clause or a no return to the uk inside XXX number of years. Remember Madrid were very keen to sign him (not us to sell him), Trust in Daniel fellas its worked thus far.

Fergusson maybe the greatest football manager ever seen but when it comes to business or the law he is only an amateur compared to Daniel levy . An example of this was the farce over the supposed ownership of the horse he thought he owned with the two Irish business men! However to blatantly try to influence the running of eufa or FIFA ,by accusation of any deal that he does not like or that he should be in total control of ,assuming everybody should pander to his every word is outrageous. The premier league appear scared of him as we’ll as the referees association but obviously levy is not. Manchester United are a fantastic football club probably the best anybody has ever seen. If they really wanted to keep fryers then why not offer him a decent contract and not one they thought they could get away with they messed up,so please Mr ferguson put the toys back in the pram and move on.

agreed red nose thought he could get away with over pricing the player to Spurs, LOL Did he really think Daniel would fall for that. If he rated him so highly at £6 mil he should not have insulted the player and offered him more than 1500 a week.Just deserts for Fergie me thinks.

As usual, ferguson (in his own mind) is right and everybody else is wrong, or just out to get him. If he rated Fryers so highly, why did he only offer him (a reported) £1500 a week when he considered that he was worth £6million in compensation? He has to realise that Fryers had signed for Standard Liege, and therefore, he was their player to sell to anyone they wanted. In fergusons world, does that mean that Spurs can demand the FA take action should ManU decide to bid for Luka Modric because ferguson realised that Levy wouldn’t sell Modric directly to them, so he must be in collusion with his new club.
Of course not. Spurs fans realise that Modric is currently a Real Madrid player, and they can sell him to ANYONE they like.

Fergie would never have received £5-6m through a tribunal, and would have been lucky to have got half of that – which actually was what Spurs offered in the summer. If United weren’t so greedy they could have £3m, instead they got ‘Levyed’
