After unceremoniously sacking Steve Clarke back in December, West Bromwich Albion’s hierarchy are at it again, dismissing boss Pepe Mel after just five months in the job.

Mel guided West Brom to safety, finishing one point ahead of Norwich City in 18th, achieving just three wins in his 17 league matches in charge.

Despite his poor record, Mel was thought to be a popular man amongst his players, who had admitted his methods were taking some getting used to.

With little backing in January, and no chance to bring in his own people, Mel was left hanging out to dry, and clearly many fans shared these sentiments.

What do you think?

Pepe Mel deserved the sack
