After failing to tempt Sunderland striker Connor Wickham to Upton Park, Sam Allardyce has secured the signature of former Metz forward Diafara Sakho in a £3.5million deal, according to The Guardian.

West Ham could certainly do with some reinforcements up top – Andy Carroll is due to spend several months on the sidelines injured, and £12million signing Enner Valencia, who netted three times at the World Cup, is also suffering from fitness problems.

Sakho netted 44 times in 114 appearances during his time with Metz, and will be expected to transition that proficiency to the Premier League.

But Big Sam has already hinted that he wont be the Irons’ final acquisition of the summer. So with that in mind, here’s a list of FIVE players that could soon follow the Senegal international to East London.
