Sam Allardyce is a manager under enormous pressure, especially following the dismal display of his West Ham side against Manchester City in the Capital One Cup.

The draw against Chelsea was a bright spot in what has been a notably poor January for Allardyce.

It makes Allardyce’s future at the club look increasingly uncertain. The football isn’t to everyone’s liking, while performances and the team’s position in the league table don’t look to be improving anytime soon.

Premier League clubs have continued in the trend of looking to Europe for their managerial appointments. West Brom recently signed Pepe Mel, who has made positive strides since arriving, while Southampton’s signing of Mauricio Pochettino has been praised by most as a shrewd acquisition.

It may be time West Ham followed the same path if they’re looking to replace Allardyce at the end of the season.
