QPR manager Harry Redknapp says that he will look into keeping West Ham‘s Ravel Morrison on a permanent basis if his side gain promotion back to the Premier League.

The 21-year-old left the Hammers to join the Championship side on loan back in January, and has been in fine form for the Super Hoops.

Six goals in 14 games have made him one of the second tier’s top performers, and his performances could be crucial for the Lotus Road side as they bid to return to the top flight via the play-offs.

When asked by the Daily Star if he would like to keep Morrison, Redknapp said:

“We’ll just have to wait and see. It depends what happens at the end of the season.

“If we get up, surely there would be a chance of keeping him and doing something with him.

“I don’t know what his plans are really. He’s just here playing well and we’re enjoying having him around.”

Redknapp also hailed the once troubled starlet’s all round ability and potential:

“Talent-wise he’s got as much talent as almost anyone I’ve worked with in all my career.

“He’s got great skill, fantastic ability.

“It would be a waste of his career and a waste for English football if he doesn’t become a top player really because he’s got the ability.”

Morrison only broke through into West Ham’s first-team at the start of this season, but has already been linked with moves to Manchester City and Tottenham.
