West Ham star wanted by Bordeaux
The Mali international is currently away on international duty, but has struggled to establish himself in the Hammers’ first-team following his recent move to the Premier League from Sochaux.
He has managed just two starts in the English top flight, but has featured from the bench on a number of occasions.
This has led to reports that Bordeaux are willing to take the 26-year-old back to Ligue 1.
West Ham are thought to be willing to listen to offers, with the arrivals of Marouane Chamakh and Wellington Paulista, allied to the presence of Andy Carroll and Carlton Cole, limiting Maiga’s chances of regular playing time.
As well as Bordaeux, Marseille are said to be interested, with the club keen to bring in a replacement for Loic Remy who joined QPR this month.
Maiga arrived at Upton Park over the summer in a £4.7m after impressing in the French top flight.
He played for both Sochaux and Le Mans after arriving from Moroccan outfit Raja Casablanca in 2006.
His impressive domestic form has seen him win 31 caps at international level for Mali.
