West Ham are set to reignite their pursuit of Leeds forward Ross McCormack at the end of the season, according to reports from talkSPORT.

The Hammers were linked with the Elland Road sensation in January, yet their interest was never firmed up despite a real need for a striker in east London.

But Sam Allardyce has since been keeping tabs on the Scotland international, and has been impressed with his 28 goals in all competitions this term.

With Premier League safety now all but ensured at Upton Park, ‘Big Sam’ is already plotting his summer moves and has made McCormack a top priority.

Leeds have recently been taken over by controversial Italian Massimo Cellino, but despite the financial security of the club likely to be boosted, the 27-year-old’s future may not be guaranteed.

West Ham are hopeful that the prolific front-man will be keen to test himself at the highest level, and could lodge a serious bid soon after the transfer window opens.

McCormack has represented his nation on ten occasions, and played for the likes of Rangers, Motherwell and Cardiff.
