West Ham may have all-but mathematically secured their Premier League status this season, but manager Sam Allardyce may not be so safe.

After three campaigns of the 59 year-old’s attritional football, the Upton Park faithful are calling for change. According to the tabloids, that could come in the form of former Swansea gaffer Michael Laudrup.

Philosophically, he and Allardyce are polar opposites; the Danish Prince championing aesthetic, possession-based football, and the Hammers manager preferring a more dissonant, defensively disciplined style.

But in many ways, that’s the attraction for West Ham supporters, as they seek to return to ‘the Hammers’ way’ of playing before they make their historic move to the Olympic Stadium.

With that in mind, Football Fancast have taken a speculative peak at what the East London side’s starting XI might look like under Laudrup’s leadership next season.
