According to the Daily Mail, Celtic have made a £2million bid for Stoke City striker Cameron Jerome:
The 28 year-old isn’t the most dependable goalscorer, having netted just nine times in his last 77 Premier League appearances. But Jerome does possess the knack to pull of the sublime – this goal against Southampton in December 2012 being a classic example:
And the former Cardiff and Birmingham forward impressed on loan to Crystal Palace last season, using his pace and powerful 6 foot 1 frame well to offer the relegation-threatened side a new dimension in attack.
The robust centre-forward would be a good fit for the SPL, but the Daily Mail also speculate that Celtic could be beaten to his signature by Championship side Norwich.
