It's back and we're ready for one of the biggest games in the history of Scottish League Football this weekend as Rangers travel to Celtic Park in the first SPL Old Firm Derby in over four years.

Five months ago we saw Rangers prevail over their bitter rivals in a 5-4 penalty shootout win in the Scottish Cup final and it gave us a real taster of what we have to look forward to this time round. But of course, Rangers have improved their squad since then and Celtic have a new manager, so it will be a completely different kettle of fish this weekend.

It was nearly five years ago the two sides last came head-to-head in the league and it was Celtic who prevailed, running out 3-0 winners. It was weeks before Rangers' bitter relegation to the third tier and after all this time, the appetite for the derby will be more intense than ever before.

So what should will we be seeing from Scotland's biggest game on Saturday?

Here are three things we can expect from the Celtic v Rangers game this weekend...

An atmosphere like no other

If we're being frank, Scottish football has seriously missed Rangers in the top flight. Celtic have cantered to five league titles in a row and even last weekend, they swept Aberdeen (who we thought might challenge this season) aside with little effort.

Celtic fans might not agree but Rangers add another element of passion and ultimately competition in this division. And we're expecting that to come to the boil this weekend at Celtic Park. This will be five years in the coming.

For Rangers it's their chance to go top of the table after five years of hurt and for Celtic, it will be a matter of showing Gers that they're the top-dogs in Scottish Football.

It's going to produce a seriously toxic atmosphere indeed and we can't wait.

The formbook to go out of the window

If there is a game in world football where form seriously goes out of the window, its the Old Firm Derby. Never before have we seen results fluctuate so aggressively.

We expected Celtic to beat first division Rangers five months ago - it didn't happen. We'll go back to the 2011/2012 season - Celtic were one game away from the title and could have sealed the title at Ibrox. Rangers prevailed 3-2.

If you take a look at the history of results, it's just so hard to predict. Rangers will go into this one as slight underdogs, solely because they're still building things back up after their exile, but expect serious fireworks as a minimum.

Three key players to decide the game

Kolo Toure will be relied upon to keep things tight for the Hoops. It's his first old-firm but he's played in the biggest games all over the world. Expect him to speak up at the back and keep things under control.

For Rangers, we think Joey Barton has the potential to dominate this tie in both a good and a bad way. He's a hot-head who is extremely well known for his temper in the biggest games but these are also the sorts of fixtures he relishes. Will he lose his head though?

Niko Kranjcar will be the heartbeat of Rangers' side, if he starts. Warbuton has preferred a more solid midfield pairing on occasions this season but if they want to create chances and really compete in this tie, Kranjcar is the man who can do just that. A real player of flair.
