Serie A giants Juventus have unveiled a new club crest, and football fans have disapproved.

The simple design of a black and white letter 'J' has replaced the current logo of a charging bull, which symbolises the club's Turin base.

It was unveiled for the first time at a ceremony in Milan, with club president Andrea Agnelli revealing: “We spent a year trying to find out what the new markets want, but also to show a sense of belonging and looking to the future."

Juventus players including Patrice Evra, Claudio Marchisio and Leonardo Bonucci were among the guests at the lavish event, which carried the slogan 'Black And White And More'.

The Italian club have produced variations of their logo since 1971, but this is the first time since then that they have pretty much ripped up the design for a new one.

The club have described the new crest as a "symbol of the Juventus way of living", but the reaction on social media has not been hugely positive.

In fact, plenty of fans are baffled by the design, with some stating that Juventus are more concerned with being a brand than a football club.
