Leicester City caused quite a stir last week when they relieve Claudio Ranieri of his duties at the King Power Stadium, just nine months after the Italian boss had lifted the Premier League title and only a few months after he was crowned World Manager of the Year.

The struggling Foxes have failed to build upon their success from last season, despite advancing to the knock-out rounds of the Champions League, and slipped into the bottom-three over the weekend before they clashed with Liverpool on Monday night.

Whilst many of the squad stayed to fight on with Leicester, N'Golo Kante was one of few who departed the defending champions and it seems he made the right decision, as the French midfielder is now on his way to back-to-back Premier League titles with two different clubs.

Kante's rise was affected massively by Claudio Ranieri's trust in him though and the 25-year-old thanked his former mentor in an Instagram post.

Kante spent just one season at Leicester but was identified as a major driving force behind the Foxes surprise success last term and he's continued those showings into his spell with Chelsea, as he's been a rock in central midfield.
