Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is facing a touchline ban after appearing to shove fourth official Anthony Taylor during Sunday's match against Burnley, and some Gooners have defended their boss.

It was a dramatic seven minutes of stoppage time at the Emirates, with two goals being scored and Wenger being given his marching orders.

The Frenchman angrily confronted Taylor on the touchline after referee Jon Moss awarded Burnley a penalty after Francis Coquelin brought down Ashley Barnes.

Andre Gray pulled the Clarets level at 1-1 with just a few minutes remaining and while Wenger stood and watched from the tunnel, TV cameras spotted the Arsenal boss appearing to push Taylor's arm in frustration.

Wenger apologised for his behaviour after the game, which Arsenal managed to win 2-1 thanks to a 98th-minute penalty from Alexis Sanchez.

It seems as though he will still face punishment after the Football Association announced on Monday that Wenger has been charged with misconduct.

A lot of fans believe that the 67-year-old deserves a ban, but others think that the reaction has been over the top.
