Aston Villa have had a successful January transfer window and Steve Bruce has spent very well to improve his squad at Villa Park, as the club look to force their way back into the Premier League at the first-time of asking.

Deadline Day has proven to be very exciting for the Villa faithful, who have endured a rollercoaster ride this season following a poor start to the campaign, as reports emerged that stated Bruce's side have emerged triumphant in the race for Brentford's Scott Hogan.

The 24-year-old has been heavily linked to West Ham since the end of December but Slaven Bilic elected not to approve a £15m deal, which left the door open for Villa to snatch Hogan's signature and increase their season spending.

With 14 goals so far this season in the Championship, sitting fifth in the league's top-scorers, Hogan should prove to be a key asset for Villa and the fans are extremely excited with their imminent new arrival.
