Liverpool flop Lazar Markovic has been sent out on loan for a third time in two-and-a-half years, and despite failing to cut it at Anfield, some fans want him to be given a chance by manager Jurgen Klopp.

On Monday, the winger joined Hull City on a temporary deal until the end of the season, cutting short a loan spell at Sporting Lisbon.

The Serbian made just six league appearances in Portugal, and in only two of those outings was he named in the starting lineup.

It tends to be unusual for top Premier League outfits to loan players to clubs in the same division, but Klopp clearly does not deem it a problem sending Markovic to relegation battlers Hull.

The player will hope to revive his career at the KCOM Stadium, and while he has only made 34 appearances for the Reds and scored three goals since his £20m switch from Benfica in 2014, some Liverpool supporters think that he should have been welcomed back to Anfield as an option.
