Fans have taken to Twitter to give their views on sensational reports that Manchester City are open to selling striker Sergio Aguero.

An exclusive from Yahoo! Sport claims that City manager Pep Guardiola has decided that the Argentine forward is not crucial to his future plans at the Etihad Stadium.

The two-time Premier League champions are believed to be willing to listen to offers for Aguero, who joined the club from Atletico Madrid in 2011 in a reported £35m deal.

It is believed that the striker is not deemed the right type of attacker to fit Guardiola's system, while there are also concerns over the 28-year-old's fitness issues and disciplinary record.

Aguero has had stuttered spells on the pitch due to muscular problems, and this season alone he has missed six matches through suspension.

Some City fans have already begun speculating who would replace the forward, with many tipping Borussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to come through the welcome gates.

However, Yahoo! Sport claims that 19-year-old Brazilian Gabriel Jesus, who joined City from Palmeiras this month, is being considered as the long-term answer.
