Newcastle United fans know all too well what it is like to have Steve McClaren as manager, so plenty have had their say on his latest sacking.

The ex-England boss was dismissed by Derby County on Sunday after guiding the team to just two wins in 10 Championship games.

It was the second time in almost two years that McClaren has been let go by Derby.

In between his stints at Pride Park, the 55-year-old had a failed nine-month spell in charge of Newcastle.

There was optimism from the Magpies board when they offered McClaren a three-year deal with the option of an eight-year extension, but it took him eight games to find a win and was eventually sacked midway through last season.

Not many Newcastle fans have sympathy for McClaren after his ninth job in management came to an end.

Plenty took to social media to mock their former boss, who oversaw just six wins in 28 Premier League matches during his time at St James' Park.
