With the Rangers manager situation still up in the air, you can forgive fans of the Ibrox side for not exactly being full of joy right now. The departure of Mark Warburton has sparked a period of significant upheaval with U20s coach Graeme Murty taking charge of the team on a caretaker basis.

Understandable then that they'd rejoice so much in the wake of their Scottish Cup Quarter-Final victory over Hamilton Academical at Ibrox on Saturday.

It was a wonderful performance, destroying the visitors 6-0, roaring into the semi-finals of the competition due to be played at Hampden where they may face the likes of Hibs, Celtic or Aberdeen. Are things finally turning around under Murty?

Joe Garner was the hero of the day, scoring a hat-trick in the second half and almost doubling his goal tally for the season so far. Garner had an... interesting day at Ibrox. After coming off the bench in the second half he was involved in a nasty head collision, escaped a red card after a wild kick and then eventually netted his hat-trick.

Those efforts complemented goals from Jon Toral, Clint Hill and Martyn Waghorn to give the Gers a massive victory.

As you can imagine it was a performance that delighted Rangers supporters and they took to Twitter to share their delight...
