Southampton star Oriol Romeu has spread a message of togetherness following his team's defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. The midfielder, who has earned plenty of plaudits throughout the season, was on the losing end of a 2-1 scoreline at White Hart Lane.It was a dominant start from Spurs as they went ahead through Christian Eriksen inside the first quarter of an hour and Dele Alli converted from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute.James Ward-Prowse pulled a goal back for the Saints in the second half, but it was not enough to inspire a comeback.Southampton manager Claude Puel felt that his side deserved a penalty just before the half-time whistle when Dusan Tadic was brought down by Ben Davies, but referee Andre Marriner waved away the claims.Despite suffering defeat, Romeu posted a message of solidarity on Twitter.

The Saints' run of consecutive league victories was halted at just two, but they remain in the hunt for a top-10 finish with 11 games left to play.
