The weekend's Premier League action is off to an exciting start in the early kick-off.

Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs side are absolutely flying at home to West Bromwich Albion, looking like a team that knows they have the form and ability to mount a real title challenge.

Tony Pulis' team have been brushed away by quick and incisive attacking football and the Lilywhites have raced to a 2-0 lead at half-time.

Those goals came thanks to Harry Kane and a Gareth McAuley own goal, deflected from an Eriksen shot. Kane's clinical effort was his 11th Premier League goal of the season and his third of 2017 already.

If anything though, the scoreline flatters West Brom. Pochettino's side could easily be three, four or five up at the break.

Assuming Spurs go on to pick up all three points, this will be their 7th victory in a row in all competitions and will move them up to second in the table, just four points behind Chelsea with the rest of the weekend's action to follow.

Tottenham fans, as you can imagine, have been absolutely delighted with the offering so far and have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the performance...
