West Ham United defender Angelo Ogbonna has shown fans that he is determined to get back to full fitness by posting a video of himself training. The 28-year-old, who has been out of action since January after undergoing a knee operation, uploaded the clip to his Twitter page.

The Italian's commitment to West Ham was evident when manager Slaven Bilic revealed that his defender had been playing with an injury throughout the first half of the season.

Ogbonna's performances were not as solid at the back as he had been last season, and it became clear why when Bilic announced plans for surgery.

The centre-back was given the go ahead for the operation after the Hammers recruited Jose Fonte from Southampton in the January transfer window.

The Premier League team currently have a number of injury headaches, with Michail Antonio, Winston Reid and Pedro Obiang set for spells on the sidelines.
