Ashton Gate | Built in 1904
As with many championship grounds, Ashton Gate has been added to and improved when ever funds were available, and as such is not uniformed throughout. However, the reasonable new Blackthorn Atyeo Stand has added to the atmosphere and feel of the ground.
Away fans are housed opposite this stand, in the Micra Wedlock Stand (Ashton Gate doesn’t win too many prizes for its stand naming policy) which is shared with those wearing Bristol City strips. 2,800 allocation is usual for away fans and the acoustics of the stand allow fans to create good noise. The odd pillar can spoil a view but you would be unlucky.
Tickets / Where to sit
Bristol City tickets are available for between £23 - £28 in the home zones.
Away fans should expect to pay around £23. Usual reductions for concessions.

Getting to Ashton Gate
Train
The nearest railway station is Parson Street which is a ten minute walk to the ground. However most lines tend to take you to Bristol Temple Meads station instead, which is at least two miles from the ground. Cabs cost around 6 quid. It’s a far old walk.
Car
Leave the M5 at Junction 18, travel along the A4, following signs for the Bristol Airport/Taunton (A38). Over the swing bridge (Brunel Way), branching left into Winterstoke Road, and you will see the ground on your left.
Parking
At the ground isn’t great but street parking is a realistic option.

Where to drink
There appears to be certainly more selection for home fans then away when it comes to local boozers. Ones perhaps to be avoided for away fans include, The Robins Pub (formally open to both, but sadly now just for home fans), The Ship and Castle, The Hen and Chicken and BS3 Bar. Away fans can usually enjoy a tipple closer to the waterfront, enjoying access to football on TV, with The Pumphouse and Nova Scotia more welcoming.
Where to eat
The Nova Scotia pub is welcoming to away fans and offers a typical selection of pub food.
Where to stay
Best Western Victoria Square Hotel represents the best value in the area. 1.1 miles walk from the stadium.
