Cardiff City Stadium | Built in 2009
Ninian Park is on Sloper road, in the Canton area of the City. It is one mile from the city centre and less than a mile from the newly developed Cardiff bay. The ground itself holds just over 20,000 and is slightly dated but feels like a classic, proper ground. Sometimes hostile, packed with Cardiff City shirts, it usually creates an impressive atmosphere.
Away fans are housed in the John Smiths Grange Terrace, allocation of usually a 1,000, within a mixture of terrace and seating.
Cardiff City now play their home games at Cardiff City Stadium.
Tickets / Where to sit
Cardiff City tickets top out at £30 for home fans, with terrace prices as low as £16.
Away fans pay £26 for seated and £22 for terrace.

Getting to Cardiff City Stadium
Train
The closest station is Ninian Park Halt, which is only a few minutes walk to the ground.
Car
It is advised to avoid driving through the centre of Cardiff. Therefore, leave the M4 at junction 33 and take the A4232 towards Cardiff/Barry. Keep on the A4232 towards Cardiff and then leave the dual carriageway at the B4267 exit, signposted 'Cardiff (Leckwith) Athletics Stadium'. The stadium is signposted well from here.
Parking
There is a large car park across the road from the ground and at the nearby Athletics Stadium, which is to become the new ground as of next season.

Where to drink
Generally it is advised that away fans should avoid local pubs to the ground and stick to the city centre establishments. Sadly Cardiff’s reputation for crowd intimidation and violence is not unfounded and you should be that in mind when choosing your afternoon drinking plans. The town does offer a very wide variety of chain bars and clubs. Many of these provide enough access to football on TV to keep track of your fanatsy football team.
Where to eat
Food within the ground comes in the form of pies (£1.90), pasties (£1.60). Hot dogs (£2.50). Bacon rolls (£2.50). Cheese burgers (£2.60), and chips for £1.
Where to stay
Cardiff’s a big but popular town, so accommodation is varied but often busy on weekends. As always, the budget hotel chains are dotted reasonable close to the ground.
