The City Ground | Built in 1898
Home to Forest for over 100 years, the City Ground is right on the bank of the River Trent. Getting a seat in the ‘A’ Block of the main stand is difficult but that’s where the most noise comes from.
Tickets / Where to sit
Like many Championship clubs, games are divided into Category A and B, with A being reserved mainly for derby matches. Tickets are £25 for adults in category B (£27 for Cat A), £18 (£19) for over 65’s, £12 (£14) for under 18’s and £6 (£7) for under 12’s. In the family stand adults pay £20-22, seniors pay £15-17, a seat for under 18’s costs £10-12 and under 12’s get in for £5-6.
Tickets can be bought in the club shop, online or by phone on 0871 226 1980.

Getting to The City Ground
Train
From Nottingham Train Station, which is accessible direct from most areas, it is about 20 minutes walk to the ground. When leaving the main station entrance turn left and left again before following that road all the way down to the dual carriageway. When you get to the end turn right and it is about three-quarters of a mile up the road, just over Trent Bridge.

Parking
There is a large car park at the ground but it does fill up quickly. Around the ground there is some street parking and the council charges £5 to park alongside Victoria Embankment, each of these leave you just a couple of minutes away.

Where to drink
Many of the pubs around the City Ground and for home fans only but a good place to try is Stratford Haven. It is located near the street parking areas and offers food and drink for reasonable prices. Or take a walk into the city centre and visit Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, which dates back from the 12th century and has room carved from the walls of Nottingham castle.
Where to eat
Close to the ground there is a McDonald’s and also a Greek restaurant Pappas all within a few minutes of the ground. Alternatively, go to Hooter’s to see girls in low-cut tops and short shorts while stuffing your face with Chicken wings and swigging a pint.
Where to stay
The Jury’s Inn on Station Street is just a short walk from the ground. Parking is available nearby and is a good budget hotel near the station.
