Goodison Park | Built in 1892

Goodison Park won't be around for too much longer - so if you haven't been yet, make sure you pay a visit during the next couple of seasons. Visiting supporters are usually designated 3,000 tickets in one corner of the Bullens Road Stand. It's advisable to get tickets in the upper tier, as the view from the lower isn't particularly good.

Tickets / Where to sit

The large Main Stand has a number of pillars that can block your view, so most home fans prefer the Park End or Gwladys Street End (behind each goal).

Tickets range from £21 to £34, but are increased with the visits of Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.

You can find out the latest Everton Tickets deals and prices on Football Fancast's Everton ticket page.

Getting to Goodison Park

Train

The closest rail station is Kirkdale on the Northern Line, which is approximately 1 mile from Goodison Park. However, you could alight at Sandhills station and catch the Merseytravel Soccerbus service, which will take you directly to the ground.

The Soccerbus is a well-renowned and frequent shuttle bus service that normally runs directly to and from Sandhills station and Goodison Park, for all Everton home Premier League and cup matches. However, the Soccerbus service has temporarily moved from Sandhills Station, which is now closed until March 2008 for a £6million facelift.

The service has been operating from Bank Hall Station (Northern Line - Southport to Hunts Cross) and Kirkdale Station (Northern Line – Liverpool-Kirkby, Liverpool-Ormskirk), with buses going directly to the ground from these stations.

Still closed???

The Soccerbus service runs for two hours before each Everton match up to 15 minutes before kick off and for 50 minutes after the final whistle. A Soccerbus ticket costs £1 when booked in advance with a train ticket (ask for Goodison Park when booking tickets) or £1.50 single or return on the bus.

It is free for Merseytravel Trio, Solo and Saveaway tickets or concessionary travel passes. If you’re travelling in by train, ask for a ticket to ‘Goodison Park’ and for an add-on of just £1.00 you’ll get a return trip on the Soccerbus. You can also pay as you board the bus – it’s just £1.50 for a single or return ticket and it’s FREE to those with valid Trioplus, Trio, Solo or Saveaway tickets or a Merseytravel Free Travel Pass.

Car

Parking

Get there early and you’ll be good for street parking on Walton Lane, failing that, head towards Anfield or Stanley Park where you can park for £6 – entrance in Priory Road. Alternatively you can leave the M57 at Junction 4 and take the A580 towards Liverpool where, on the right, you will reach the Warton Sports Centre where parking is £3 and it’s a fifteen minute walk to the ground (check out Chinese Chippy en route). Avoids Stanley Park after the game and is a five minute drive from motorway.

Where to eat

The catering includes amongst other things; a Scouse Pie (£2.20), Steak Pie (£2.20), Chicken & Chilli Pie (£2.10) and Sausage Rolls (£1.90). Away fans can get a pint before the game in their designated area. Alcohol serving stops usually 30 minutes before kick off.
