Santiago Bernabeu | Built in 1947
The Santiago Bernabéu is located in northern part of Madrid, Spain. Originally called Estadio Chamartín, stadium is now called the Santiago Bernabéu named in honour of Real Madrid's former president. The stadium holds a massive 80,300 people, second only to the Nou Camp and with shelter over much of the crowd, the atmosphere is electrice whatever game is being played.
Tickets / Where to sit
Ticket prices start as low as €16 for a place in the highest part of the stadium if you buy them at the Bernabeu ticket office. If you are going to buy them online, tickets cost much more. Via www.ticketsrealmadrid.com, prices for category 3 seats, beahind the goal and in the upper tier of the side stands cost €60. It's €70 for a ticket along the side of the pitch and €105 to sit along the halfway line. Prices are higher than that again when the team play Barcelona or Atletico Madrid.

Getting to Santiago Bernabeu
Train
All main transport routes around Madrid will get you to the Bernabeu. From Madrid's main station, use the Madrid Metro which will take you to the simply named 'Santiago Bernabeu' stop if you get on Line 10 but sometimes after a game this will be closed for safety and security reasons. If that happens, just hop on the 14, 27, 40, 43, 120, 147 or 150 bus services that'll get you to the same place.
Car
The address is Avenida Concha Espina 1, 28036 Madrid.
Parking
Nightmare. As you can imagine with 80,000 people heading for one place. That's why using public transport is the best option.

Where to drink
Around the ground there's loads of bars to have a look into. For those after a fancy cocktail and a posh experience, visit Lolita, situated just down the road. Just across the road from Lolita is El Tomillar, a bar come restaurant with traditional Spanish food and local beer, but don't expect it to be cheap. Bars near the away entrance are good for supporters of both teams. The Southern side of the stadium is a no go area for away fans, if you see a Burger King you're in the wrong place.
Where to eat
The stadium has its own restaurant, Real Cafe. It is quite expensive but it advertises a Menu Del Dia at 18 euros. Reservations can be made but on the website, www.realcafebernabeu.es, but it's all in Spanish. Alternatively, La Mariachita is situated in the Chamartin area of the capital, not far from the Bernabeu and offers a selection of Mexican foods in a trendy location.
Where to stay
With the stadium being directly in the business district it is easy to find a hotel nearby. Three that are within walking distance are the Gran Atlanta hotel, with air conditioned rooms and breakfast available with rooms costing around €70. There is also NH La Habana, where Wi-Fi, parking and breakfast are available for €93 a night. Alternatively, AC Aitana has a free minibar, on site restaurant and fitness centre for €107.

Real Madrid Songs
De las glorias deportivas
que campean por España
va el Madrid con su bandera
limpia y blanca que no empaña
Club castizo y generoso,
todo nervio y corazón,
veteranos y noveles,
veteranos y noveles,
miran siempre tus laureles
con respeto y emoción
¡Hala Madrid!, ¡Hala Madrid!
Noble y bélico adalid,
caballero del honor.
¡Hala Madrid!, ¡Hala Madrid!
A triunfar en buena lid,
defendiendo tu color
¡Hala Madrid!, Hala Madrid!, Hala Madrid!
Enemigo en la contienda,
cuando pierde da la mano
sin envidias ni rencores,
como bueno y fiel hermano
